Baby Shower Event - The Mommy Exchange

Have you heard about The Mommy Exchange on Facebook? The Mommy Exchange is a place for moms and boutiques to exchange products! Feel free to post your business or product on the fan page. Trade products, tips, supplies, and more!

Well I traded one of my Scrappy Canvases with the creator of The Mommy Exchange, who is also the owner of Kate's Custom Gifts for a tutu onesie.

Here's what we traded.

I love this tutu onesie! Plus she sent me a Newborn diaper all cute too!

Here's the Canvas I made her for her daughter.

I LOVE TRADING! Let me know if you ever want to trade for my Scrappy Gifts or for advertising on one of my blogs.
Check out The Mommy Exchange in the Discussions section for people to trade with or request something you're looking to trade for!

Baby Shower Event - Guest Post by Crystal's Craft Spot

Hi Everyone! I am so excited to be here today. I am Crystal from Crystal's Craft Spot. Its my little spot to share my current craft projects, tutorials, recipes, and ideas I want to use in the future. You will also find a monthly craft challenge (going on right now but there is still time to link up), and online craft club, and feature Friday link up. I try to post something new almost everyday and I enjoy a variety of crafts. It is my way to relax and take a break from a busy day.

Since this is a baby shower here are a few of my favorite baby projects you'll find on my blog

When I was trying to decided what I wanted to make for this post I kept thinking...what is something all baby girls need?  Headbands and bows!  There are tons of adorable bows out there but if your little one doesn't have much hair they are kind of useless.  So I'm going to show you how to make your own interchangeable headband.
Here's one on my baby (she's almost three now!)

You need a pair of girls tights-the bigger the better.

Cut one leg off-above the heel and at the top.

Pin the two ends together

SEW.  You can also do this by hand and if you don't have access to a needle and thread hot glue might work.  I've never tried it so please don't be mad at me if it doesn't :)

Turn it right side out

Pinch together

Cut a piece of ribbon about 3 inches long.  glue one end to the back of the seam.

Wrap around and glue the end to the back of the headband.

That all there is to it.

Now clip all your cute bows onto the ribbon.

It makes it easy to accessorize any outfit.

It's perfect for your tiny newborn

and will continue to grow with your baby.

Thanks for having me today.  Its been a lot of fun.  Stop by my blog anytime.  I love meeting new friends.

Thanks so much Crystal! I'm hoping to participate in March's Craft Club project. Love this interchangeable headband. I have tons of bows now, but now I'm worried my little girl won't have any hair so this will be perfect!

Baby Shower Event - Paci-Catchers Review and Giveaway

Since my son's pants stay on pretty well, I gave one of the Pants-Catchers to my friend to review. Along with being great for holding a child's pants up, she shared this:
The Pants Catcher is perfect for toddlers who are potty training. It's easier for them to get their pants down than if they were wearing a belt. They're also much cuter than most of the belts available for toddlers.

I was able to review another Pants-Catcher. In my head, I knew what I wanted to use mine for. I found this white infants' dress at Kohls for $10.80 (70%) and I had a 30% off coupon to use which made it $7.56! Perfect for a blessing dress for my baby girl! The only problem is that it's 9 mo. size and there were no other ones available. Well I bought it anyway figuring I could alter it somehow. Plus we weren't exactly sure when we'd be able to bless her since family wasn't going to be able to come right away. Then Paci-Catchers offered to let me do a review.....who says the Pants-Catcher has to just be for bottoms! I put it on the dress to see....I think it will work great to make it smaller if needed. Plus no sewing needed!!!

I reviewed the Mitten Catchers in the Camo color - perfect match for my son's coat and gloves. It took a great deal of convincing for him to wear the Mitten Catchers and to take a picture (he's 2), but eventually we were able to.
Hopefully he will get used to wearing them because I think they're fabulous! My son wasn't able to pull them off nor was I. You really have to unclip them to get them off. It's great instead of searching for gloves all the time; they can just stay attaced to the coat. I'll have to try the adjustable snaps on it again though to make them shorter and then maybe my son won't mind so much.
(I know his gloves are a little big - but I couldn't find his smaller ones =D)

I love Paci-Catchers' products. She has over 100 designs. All of her products are adjustable. There's tons of uses - be creative and you can even think of others. She is so great and easy to work with. They're affordable with low shipping. Want more information on the Paci-Catcher, check out my review from last year on them.

Baby Shower Event - Tolly & Shorty Review and Giveaway

I received a set of 3 fabric hangers from Tolly & Shorty. They came wonderfully packaged and protected.

I was so excited to receive them because I just had received some items that would need hanging, but would be tricky to hang on normal hangers.
....especially these tutus. Here's the difference between the fabric hangers and a regular hanger. The black tutu looks like it's going to fall off the hanger!

Later I received this beautiful crochet sweater as part of her Heritage Set from Forever and a Day (see review from earlier) and was super glad I had these hangers from Tolly & Shorty to protect this gorgeous sweater.

Another thing I love about these hangers were the colors - they were perfect to go with my little girl's room. I think I'll definitely have to order more of these some time soon.

Tolly & Shorty is giving away your choice of colors in a set of 3 child's hangers.

MANDATORY ENTRY: Go to her blog and comment on a post. Then leave a comment here saying you did and what color(s) you'd want for your hanger set.
