MONDAY
I gave the kids a list of things that I would love for them to do for school the last 2 weeks so I could get done my list and have a fun birthday month and not focus on heavy topics true to my Type 1 nature.
They worked on some of my list like Night Zookeeper.
My daughter finished her animal unicorn drawings for her song.
My oldest worked on coding some more of his computer games through his Outschool class.
They also worked on using more technology by creating some videos with the cell phone. We're not big cell phone users so I'm impressed with how easy it is for them to learn how to use a cell phone. Computers are so much more easier to me haha.
TUESDAY
I had to go to IKEA to finally get that special peg board to fit those other things I bought for a peg board there a couple months ago so after Ikea we went to Farm Country again since it was a nice day.
WEDNESDAY
Happy Birthday to Me!
We did a Homeschool Field Trip. Instead of paying $10 a ticket, we were able to pay $4 each with a group of homeschoolers.
HeeHaw Farms has definitely grown since we've been here last. I think I went with my daughter for her preschool field trip.
They loved the zip lines and slides the best. My youngest loved talking and petting the turkey that like to follow people around =D.
Then they came home and did their Homeschool Support Group Cooking Class. They learned how to create some fun treats for Halloween.
After school, we celebrated my birthday with their grandparents bringing us pizza and then having some goodies from Carlos' Bakery through Goldbelly.
The cake was quite yummy after it was fully thawed. The cookies needed to be in the oven for about 8 minutes, and then they tasted delicious. The lobster tails must not have been packaged well enough because they were waxy, not crispy/crunchy as I've heard them described. I tried twice to eat them wondering if they just weren't thawed all the way like the cake, and I had to spit it out and throw them away. Luckily, it was a gift card we used for this through my husband's work. I sent in feedback so we'll see.
THURSDAY
Wii Sports was the main thing the kids did today. They did a lots of tennis, baseball and bowling.
We also read some of these cool grammar books which I think are so fun. They are called Words are Categorical. They also have some of them on Kindle Unlimited too.
My daughter had a My Tech High Art club class this afternoon. She drew and colored a fall scene and then got really into drawing all sorts of pictures that had leaves in them.
FRIDAY
I had my I Love my Life Event so the kids worked on 2 lessons from their Human Body Outschool class. Lots of fighting though while I was trying to participate in my sessions. Good thing I didn't try to give them a lot of things to do together. They tend to work better individually.
