107th Mommy Mondays - Scripture Stackers & GIVEAWAY!

Sisters, Melissa and Betsey, joined together to create Scripture Stackers after realizing how much time their children spent playing with Legos. They wanted to create a toy that would help their children's love of the scriptures grow as they played.
Scripture Stackers BUILD: Faith, Character and Knowledge all while you play!!
The blocks ARE compatible with other brands!
The products they have available: 2 Large Sets and 6 Figure Sets

*The Nativity Scene is 140 pieces and depicts the story from Luke chapter 2 in the New Testament of the birth of Jesus.  This fun set includes 2 animals, 6 figures and baby Jesus.

*A set of 6 assorted figures from the Old Testament.  They include: Moses and the burning bush, Noah, King Solomon with his throne, Goliath, Joseph and the multicolored coat, and baby Moses with his mother Jochebed.  Each figure come with a fun accessory.

Many of my fans know I am LDS or a Mormon so I was super excited to see them have a character from the Book of Mormon.
*The Nephi & the Broken Bow set depicts the story from The Book of Mormon about Nephi and his family hunting in the wilderness. It includes a Liahona!  It has 150 Pieces and comes with a collectors card with a summary of the story and the scripture reference.

Their website is www.ourpicnictree.com  They are offering a 20% off code to any of my readers.  LOVE20

They started with a Kickstarter campaign last year so I ordered a couple of sets for Christmas for my children. My daughter was super excited to build her Nativity Set immediately. We chose to give her that one because it had a baby in it =) We had a fun time putting it together. The directions were pretty simple to follow. The pieces are durable, and they were easy to snap together unlike other non-Lego pieces we've used in the past. I love having sets that focus on Christian principles as a teaching tool for my children. I think now that my children are older, 5 and 8, we will have them build this Nativity Set as we read from Luke 2 each Christmas Eve. Before we just had them play with a nativity set, but how fun for them to build and be a little more challenged. As we read our scriptures with our children and have FHE, we are excited to use some of our figures and sets to help our children understand these stories better.
Our Picnic Tree has been so kind to work with. You can feel their passion for their products through their e-mails and FB messages.

My son and I have my plans to build the Nephi's bow set this week so stay tuned for pictures on my FB page for that. He loves bows and arrows. He has many of them =D.

They are giving away a set of the 6 assorted figures to 2 of my fans!
They were going to let me keep one, but since I already purchased these for my kids, I wanted my readers to win =D The giveaway is on my Facebook Page, Crafty Mommy Diva & Scrappy Gifts.

One of the entries is to comment here on this post with your child's favorite scripture story.

Chicken Soup Giveaway - Dog

I remember when my family first got a puppy. We had to leave for a holiday party so my parents blocked our puppy in the kitchen where the tile was so she wouldn't pee on the carpet, but still had room to roam a little. When we came back home, she was out of the kitchen, and we couldn't figure out how she did it! Luckily she hadn't peed anywhere. We trapped her back in the kitchen and waited. She climbed on the the counter, through the top of our kitchen where there were wooden bars, and down to our living room couch. Smart dog!

REVIEW
Marriage E-Book: The A to Z guide to a Happier, Healthier Marriage. I bought these e-books and printed them out. I gave one to my brother-in-law and his new wife last year. I also printed it out for my friend as a gift. Then I printed it out for me and my husband. I love it because it's pretty short and simple to read. These type of books are the kind I like to read with my husband together. In the beginning of our marriage, we'd read books like this as part of our FHE (Family Home Evening) so that we were focusing and talking with each other. Now that we have 2 kids and been married for over 7 years, we need it more than ever to remind ourselves to focus on our marriage and make it through the 7 year itch and not just focus on the kids. My husband realizes this a lot more now that we have 2 children. He didn't mind as much when we had just the 1, but now having 2 takes a lot of our attention and many times we forget to spend time just us together especially with our atypical schedule. Not only do I love the ideas in here, but I love the simple quotations that go with them. I really believe this simple e-book can be a great reminder for those who have been married for a while and also a good thing to learn early for those who are newly married.

REVIEW
The Ultimate Date Night e-Book This book is amazing!! I love the full color. It just looks so fun and exciting to try when you first get it. There's around 38 dates (I just counted quickly so I could be off) and several aren't on their website.
All the dates are pretty simple and easy to do! They even have all the printables you need for each date! The dates I'm looking forward to are the Cleaning Date (my husband is a great cleaner so I like to pick the the ones he'd most likely do =D - plus he doesn't like getting out of the house much.) and the Minute to Win it Date (I love throwing parties so this would be so fun with friends!). One of the dates we've done is the Sleepover Date. The ones at home are the most likely to get done with my husband - he's a home body.
Many don't even cost much money so that's even more awesome and helpful. You can use a lot of things you already have.
The one hard thing about this e-book is that it has 200+ pages so I can't print it all out at once at a low cost. So I really need to just figure out which dates to try, figure out the page numbers and get those printed so I have it all on hand when I can get a date with my husband. Or I should just print the ones I like out and then when my husband asks what we should do, I'll just give him the options so he can plan it more. =)
Now that we have 2 children, I realize even more how important dating your spouse is so I am grateful for all these ideas so that we can have fun and enjoy each other. We have certainly done better about dating, but it's still not our strong suit to do when we have no family around for free baby-sitting and our schedules are weird to trade babysitting with others.

REVIEW
I jumped at the offer when some of my favorite ladies, The Dating Divas, put out their first recipe e-book.

There are 29 amazing looking recipes! The recipes all have pretty easy to find ingredients, fabulous photos to make you drool, and some even includes inside tips and twists on the recipes.

I love putting twists to recipes once I've tried and liked them. It makes it almost like a whole new recipe =)

I absolutely love the gorgeous photography of the food. I rarely try a recipe from a book unless it has an amazing picture with it. Great food photos really can sell a recipe and trust me you'll be sold on these!

The husbands have all tried these recipes as well. I have a pretty picky husband myself so I'm sure there will be several that he'll like too.

I'm most excited to try the Grasshopper Pie (I love mint!) and the Black Forest Chocolate Mousse. Can you tell I love dessert? =D OK well the meal I'll be trying first is the French Bread Cheesy Burger because my husband has been loving recipes using french bread lately =).

ENTER to WIN your own recipe e-book from The Dating Divas! Can't wait, go and buy it now for only $5.97!

REVIEW
Jana of Paparazzi Accessories gave me these adorable green clips to review. So cute! All I requested was Christmas green and a pair of clips and easily she was able to find something in her stash of accessories to meet my needs. I wanted a pair of clips because I can wear them and then so can my daughter. Her hair is slowly growing so she can keep clips in. She doesn't like wearing headbands anymore so clips are best on pigtails. I can't wait for her to wear these for Christmas.
That's what I love about Paparazzi - you can find any color you're wanting. Another great thing about Paparazzi is that no party is the same. All vendors have a different collection of items so you'll be sure to find something unique just for you.
Their parties are fun and easy. I've hosted two of them and it's just laid back, no spiels, open house style.
The best thing yet is that all their accessories are super affordable. Most of their items are just $5 each (plus tax), but they also have many children's items for only $1 each! Great stocking stuffer ideas =) I have many pieces of their jewelry: necklaces and earring sets, a couple rings, and several of their hair clips. So fun and I always have an item to match my outfits.

Paparazzi is slowing growing, based out of Utah so ask Jana how you can be a consultant in your area especially if you don't live in Idaho or Utah, you're sure to be a success!

Jana is giving this set away! Gorgeous huh! Very elegant! The winner will be so lucky! Enter to win below!

L'BRI REVIEW
I had the opportunity to try out some L'BRI skin care at a networking small business meeting a couple weeks ago. I was so excited to try it because it used natural ingredients (see below for list). It felt wonderful and soft. I loved it. I cannot wait until things slow down so I can host a party. One of the coolest things we tried was a a facial masque which was a skin tightener on one half of your face. Oh my goodness, you could actually see on the people across from you - their skin being tighter and lifted on the half of their face. It was amazing and even more so that it used natural ingredients to do so! I love that it uses essential oils. The winner of this giveaway is so lucky!

70th Mommy Mondays - March of Dimes and GIVEAWAY

Last month, I participated in the March of Dimes walk in my area in Idaho Falls. It was a wonderful event, and I was glad I could support my friends and walk for those other babies I know that were born premature. It was also amazing to hear other stories from other families who faced trials with having premature babies.
For more pictures of the event, you can check out Aly Willis Photography.

My kids were able to meet Darth Vader.

On our walk (around 3 miles) we passed by beautiful scenery...

...and met some new animal friends.

I made the shirts for the team I walked with.

Afterwards we enjoyed a picnic lunch and some activities for the kids. It was the first time either of my kids had their face painted! My son got a tractor and my daughter a butterfly.

While my daughter had her face painted, my son checked out he play doh station.

Here are close-ups of some of the shirts I made for the team. Interested in team shirts for an event or family reunion, check out my Scrappy Gifts FB page for more ideas.
