Cilantro CPTG Essential Oil from dōTERRA is one of my new favorite essential oils

I had a cooking class a couple weeks ago where we learned about all the different essential oils that provide therapeutic benefits and can be used in cooking as well. When used in cooking, cilantro can help against common stomach troubles.

Here are the two recipes we used Cilantro Essential Oil in.

Didn't have cilantro on hand so substituted 3 drops of Cilantro essential oil in.

Cilantro Lime Rice (great topped with chicken and the cowboy salsa for a complete meal) -

90th Mommy Mondays - Gymnastics

My daughter had fun with her first series of gymnastics/dance class this summer. She wouldn't perform for the parents the dance parts because she wanted to sit by her brother and Daddy, but she went around doing the gymnastics part better than our son did his first performance.

First Day

Learning to do a cartwheel

Learning to do a backwards roll

She can do handstands on the wall by herself!

Other things she learned how to do completely by herself at 2 years old: tucks, straddles, pikes, handstands on the wall, and tootsie rolls. She likes to try to do cartwheels by herself. She's been able to do a somersault since she was 17 months.

What classes do you have your kids take when you have the money?

I'd like to do piano lessons again for my son, but need to save up for it again. We'll definitely have my daughter do this dance/gymnastics class again next summer. My son has gymnastics and preschool included in his preschool program. Maybe we'll attempt soccer for him again in a couple of years.

121st Fashionable Fridays - Color Pop

I actually wore this outfit a while ago, but forgot to post it. What do you think of my pops of color? Too much? Too young looking?

Lots of people gave me compliments, but now looking back it might look too young?

25th Wellness Wednesdays - Frankincense

*unclickable photo*

I love using this essential oil for sore throats. I can take internally or rub on my throat.

This oil is amazing. It can penetrate the blood brain barrier which can help those with Alzheimers or memory loss. It can help people focus as well.

It can also help fight against cancer.

It is nicknamed Liquid Gold. See this link for a short webinar about it and more on the amazing uses. -

People say when in doubt, use frankincense so recently I used it on this weird pain I've been having on my left 2 middle finger knuckles - helped tremendously.

See how others have been using Frankincense:

89th Mommy Mondays - Bike Riding

Sweet moments as I watched my son ride his bike for a distance longer than 6 feet this weekend. We went down the bike path together as a family. My husband and son riding their bikes and me pushing my daughter in her stroller since her bike isn't fixed yet to learn (needs a new tire and seat!).

My husband let me have a turn too riding his bike but I couldn't sit on it because it was just too tall. He's 6'4 and I'm 5'4...

He had his first wipe out and scraped his knee pretty good. Can't believe I forgot to have him put on his padding! At least he got right back on and quickly stopped crying. I was surprised that he started to ride again so quickly.

My husband took him out 2 more times that evening because our son loved it so much.

The next day for church, he asked if we could ride to church and I figured sure why not; let's save more gas money =)

This time I made sure he had his padding. He fell once on the way, but it wasn't bad. I told him how to put his foot down if he felt like he was going to fall and on the way back after church, he did that.

My husband helping our son go a little faster so we could get home and cook dinner. Having church 1-4 is tough!

What sweet moments will you always remember of your children?

88th Mommy Mondays - 4th of July Activities

How was your 4th of July? I love holidays and family time! We had fun celebrating and remembering our freedoms in this country by going to the local parade and later setting off some fountain fireworks and doing sparklers.

*Put your camera on fireworks setting and try to spell or draw something backwards within the allotted time for cool pictures =)

Ending the night watching the big fireworks from our driveaway - we saw some from three different sides =)

What things do you like to do with your kids on Independence Day?
